Employee Voice.
B.P.M. Wijesekara.
The way to raise employees' voices on views on employment or the organization can be discussed as Employees' voice. most of the modern organizations use to get participated or getting involved members from all levels of employees while taking important decisions or while starting new projects, change of structures of current processes, etc.
There are few ways of getting employees involved.
Email or social media.
Face to face communications.
Suggestion schemes.
Attitude survey.
Working groups.
It is significant to acknowledge the importance of employees' voice in local and international organizations.
"For organizations, performance may suffer if employees do not share suggestions and concerns, and they may miss opportunities to correct problems and take advantages of new ideas" (Morrison 2014).
Representative participation such as schemes to meet employer or manager on regular basis by employees' representative or partnership schemes to some employee relations vehicles have been identified as the kind of tools on the easiness of the related concept.
Partnership with trade unions and informal and individualistic interactions with employees are basically emerging higher compared with the other activities or practices in terms of employees voice and most importantly it is must to understand that Employees voice can be described or explained differently according to the different management functions(Dundon et al., 2004).
Understanding of the value of listening to organizational employees whether it is in a positive manner or in a negative approach is the responsibility of the employer or the representing management in respect of maintaining the good relationship between the employer and employees.
However, in some identified global organizations it was visible that high labor productivity had a connection with proper employee voice recognition and as per Kim et al.(2010), it is identified and emphasized that just existence of employee participation or representation not enough but impact of employee voice is matters on organizations performances.
While connecting the discussion to the related Tea industry of Sri lanka may be more than other organizations employee voice, trade union representation, and discussions have recognized in a very strong manner in order to maintain a proper relationship between employer and employees and make sure that there will be workplace freedom and peace maintained throughout.
Conclusion.
Identification and recognition of the employee's voice in an organization itself create a positive mindset of working members which is always a benefit to have in an organization to work and lead as a team for the budgeted goal. as all other assets depending on the asset of employees or the members of the team more significant view must have on their point of view as well in order to sustain in the contemporary business world to have a positive and healthy competition with the other business units.

I strongly agree employee’s voices should always be considered or more importantly be heard! This is just one way of practicing transparency and maintaining a healthy relationship with the employee within the workplace. Because working always seems to become more of a living when the work environment is very friendly with healthy relationships with one another and very open to accept and listen to the expression of thoughts and ideas for the betterment of the entire work.
ReplyDeleteBusiness owners must listen to their employees and the main factor in an organization is the employees, the well-being of the organization goes on the shoulders of the employees and their creative ideas help it. There is very good communication between current employees and employees.
ReplyDeleteEmployees of all levels should be heard of. Sometimes they pocess the greatest of ideas. However, the employers should know to strike the balance.

ReplyDeleteIt is a vital factor to get employee voice from every level in organizational decision making. This can be aligned with trade unions since employers can assign them some goals to achieve so that both teams are working together to achieve one goal. And also it makes a strong communication channel between two parties as well.
